K2 - Kickboxing Program


The emphasis at the K2 level is on perfecting advanced fighting and sparring skills.  Special focus will be given to hand/eye coordination, defensive fighting skills and quick, powerful kicking and punching combinations.

K2 is designed to prepare Kardiokick members for our sparring (K3) level in the boxing ring.  Members at the K2 level will be using a professional quality jump rope and the K3 sparring package.

The following represent a sampling of the skill development at the K2 level.

Defensive traps, feints & counters;

bullet

Opening up of an opponents defense;

bullet

Multiple lead leg attacks and punching combinations;

bullet

Taps and counters off the ropes;

bullet

Spinning backfist and kicking combinations;

bullet

Increased cardio and flexibility work.

Cardio conditioning at the K2 level will be substantially increased.  Members must have a minimum of 80 K1 classes and have successfully passed the K2 evaluation.  There is a $30 charge for the evaluation.
